Celine Buttanshaw

Celine Buttanshaw is based in London and is part of the business restructuring and insolvency team. 

Celine focuses on debt restructuring and reorganisations including contingency planning and options analysis in complex cross-border and emerging market restructurings. She has experience representing buy side investors, bondholder committees and investors interested in distressed situation.  She has also represented a range of clients including bank creditors and distressed corporates with debt trades, participations and acquisitions in addition to advising on  refinancing and restructuring transactions, in a range of industries including agricultural, consumer, care home, oil and gas, real estate and projects.

Representative experience

Interpipe: Acting for the largest creditor in the on-going restructuring of this Ukrainian steel pipe manufacturer

ATU - advising the lead investor in the loan to own of A.T.U, involving a new money investment effected through consent solicitation and third party financing.*

Harkand - advising the ad hoc committee of bondholders, on a restructuring of bonds and an options analysis in advance of the administration of several subsidiaries.*

Magnolia Portfolio - advised the lenders on a refinancing of a portfolio of care home facilities.*

Mriya Agro – advising the senior noteholder committee in the restructuring of this Ukrainian agricultural company.

Njord Partners and Goldman Sachs Special Situations - advising on EUR25m debt investment to a Portuguese cabling company to refinance debt and provide working capital.*

Norshore Atlantic - advising ad hoc committee of bondholders on restructuring of USD 150 million bonds involving sale and leaseback of a multipurpose drilling vessel.*

UkrLandFarming – advised the noteholder committee in the re-profiling of senior notes issued by these Ukrainian agricultural companies.*
