For over 10 years Annabel has helped clients to resolve their complex international arbitration disputes. She works with clients from a range of industries, including life sciences and health care, energy, and financial services, to solve their disputes as painlessly as possible by providing pre-arbitration advice, assistance with mediation and settlement, or taking a case all the way to trial.

Annabel has steered clients from Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa through joint-venture disputes, post M&A disputes, disputes arising out of complex financing transactions, license agreements, concession agreements and long-term supply agreements as well as general contractual disputes. Her experience encompasses disputes governed by foreign law, arbitrations conducted under the major institutional rules (ICC, LCIA), ad hoc arbitrations and arbitration-related court proceedings.

Named a Rising Star in International Arbitration in Legal 500 2021, 2022, and 2023, Annabel is passionate about utilising new technologies with global clients to help facilitate more efficient arbitral proceedings. She has higher rights of audience in the English courts and experience of conducting advocacy in international arbitration hearings.

Acting for a large pharmaceutical company in an ICC arbitration against a drug manufacturer.

Representing joint claimants in ICC proceedings against a CIS state arising out of the expiry of a long-term concession agreement in respect of hydroelectric power stations.

Representing a major international automotive company in an ICC arbitration against another international automotive company in relation to a dispute concerning a breach of contract.

Representing U.S. and UK Claimants in five related LCIA arbitrations arising out of disputes with their Greek and Cypriot franchisees.

Acting for joint Claimants in a LCIA arbitration arising out of a Repurchase Agreement.

Acting for joint claimants against a multinational energy company in the damages phase of two LCIA arbitrations.

Advising a UK government department on potential claims against a contractor under a long term service contract.

Advising a Panamanian entity in a dispute arising under a shareholders agreement in respect of companies that own various assets in the Ukraine.

Representing an international manufacturer and supplier of components for the aerospace market in an ICC arbitration in relation to breaches of warranties in a SPA.

Advising the Respondents in English Court proceedings relating to the challenge of an arbitration award pursuant to ss.67 and 68 of the Arbitration Act.

Providing pre-arbitration advice in respect of a potential dispute arising out of a petroleum concession agreement.

Representing a major international drinks company in an ICC arbitration against another international drinks company in relation to a Kenyan JV dispute.

Representing a Middle East energy company in a multi-billion dollar ad hoc arbitration relating to a long term gas supply contract against a national oil company.
