Intellectual Property

Andrew's clients span a range of industry sectors, including automotive, food and beverage, sport and entertainment, and media. He has a particular focus on trademark and copyright disputes, and has experience of proceedings before the UK Intellectual Property Office, and the High Court. 

As a senior associate in our Intellectual Property, Media and Technology practice, his practice covers both contentious and non-contentious IP matters. Andrew also advises multi-national companies on IP licensing agreements, the IP aspects of Corporate transactions, and helps clients on the strategic protection and enforcement of their IP rights. 

Andrew studied English literature at Leeds University (BA (Hons), 2007) before undertaking the Graduate Diploma in Law (Distinction, 2008) and the Legal Practice Course (Distinction, 2009). He trained with Hogan Lovells in London and has worked there since March 2010. In 2013, he completed an eight-month secondment at BNP Paribas, advising on a range of IP and technology issues. In the same year Andrew obtained a Diploma in IP law from the University of Oxford.

Advising SABMiller plc, the world's second largest brewery company, on copyright infringement matters.

Acting for a company specialising in creative design for film, TV, and events in connection with a reverse passing off claim.

Acting for a major multinational engineering group in breach of confidence / trade secrets litigation.

Advising a TV production company in the High Court in relation to a UK trade mark infringement claim.

Advising Johnson & Johnson on the sale of its Benecol business.
