Mohammad Amer

Mohammad Amer is breaking the mold as a seasoned senior associate. He is known as a jack of all trades when it comes to your transactional needs.

Mohammad has experience in industries across the board, from global technology development and software licensing; to government contracting and defense industry; to cosmetics and product manufacturing; to pharmaceutical and drug development, manufacturing, and licensing.

He uses his knowledge from counseling and representing major clients to give you the understanding and representation you need to handle privacy and cybersecurity regulation. He offers a wide-ranging transactional practice that includes mergers and acquisitions, securities compliance, venture capital transactions, technology licensing, and other technology-related and commercial transactions.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, he was the lead corporate counsel aligned to a global technology company. There, he utilized his extensive experience to provide global legal support on a wide range of commercial agreements relating to the company's security, digital, and mobile initiatives. Mohammad provided his clients with counsel relating to privacy and security matters; negotiation of strategic agreements including procurement and outsourcing contracts; business line partnerships and alliances with key technology companies; management of licensing, supply, sales, vendor, consulting, and technology agreements; and legal guidance on issues relating to delivery, operations, and worldwide alliances.

Before moving in-house, Mohammad spent five years as an associate in a large, international law firm where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and technology transactions.

He holds a certification from the International Association of Privacy Professionals as a Certified Information Privacy Professional, U.S. Private Sector.

In addition to his transactional experience, Mohammad is fluent in Urdu/Hindi, a talented baker, and an amateur a capella singer. He does it all.
