Practice groupCorporate

Cutting through legal complexity with an eye for what is key, Kai's current practice covers the full range of privacy, cybersecurity, e-commerce and related IT/IP law matters. In addition, Kai specializes in the field of gaming/gambling laws and regulations. Being business-fluent in German, Dutch and English, Kai focusses on international companies and (online) businesses.

More recently in 2018, Kai assisted several national and international companies shedding light into their data flows; and performing GDPR gap analyses and implementing resulting action items, thereby turning privacy and cybersecurity law challenges into e-commerce business opportunities for the companies concerned. In addition, Kai recently negotiated and settled various privacy law disputes in the Netherlands and Germany for two international companies marketing their products within and outside Europe.

Before practicing in the field of privacy, cybersecurity, e-commerce and related IT/IP law Kai has gained in-depth knowledge in competition law and corporate/M&A law for several years. Therefore, Kai also has considerable experience in M&A-related (privacy) matters.
