Allison M. Funk

Senior Associate
New York

Allison M. Funk

An experienced commercial litigator, Allison M. Funk has represented financial institutions, lenders, and mortgage loan servicers in state and federal court for almost a decade. She has briefed and argued dozens of dispositive motions, setting legal precedent for mortgage foreclosure litigation across the state.

In addition to her case-specific work, Allison is a trusted adviser to clients, providing compliance advice on the ever-changing state and federal regulations governing the lending and mortgage loan servicing industry, including the regulations promulgated by the New York State Department of Financial Services and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Allison has also created and conducted training for clients on trends in consumer finance litigation, including the recent amendments in New York State law.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Allison worked as legal counsel for the Nassau County Department of Housing and Homeless Services, an administrative agency that received a sizable grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for homelessness prevention services. As part of her work, Allison worked closely with HUD to develop and implement best practices for disbursement and administration of the grant, which are still in place presently.
