Alfredo Pineda Nieto

Alfredo Pineda Nieto counsels and represents national and foreign clients in complex intellectual property (IP) rights litigation, transactions, and prosecution.

Experienced in traditional rights, such as patent, trademark, and copyright litigation, Alfredo is also involved in the protection and enforcement of other IP and related rights. He is skilled in anti-counterfeiting and border measures enforcement matters. During 2004-2005 he worked as a foreign lawyer in the IP practice of a global law firm headquartered in Madrid, Spain.

He earned two postgraduate degrees at the 40th Annual Academy of American and International Law University one from The Institute for International and Comparative Law of The Center for American and International Law (Formerly the Southwestern Legal Foundation) in Dallas, Texas; and the second for Copyright's Criminal Matters (Delitos en Materia de Derechos de Autor) at the National Institute for Criminal Sciences. Alfredo received a specialist degree in intellectual property and his law degree from Universidad Panamericana.

Committed to legal education, Alfredo has lectured on intellectual property at Universidad Panamericana's School of Law, and was a faculty member in the university's post-graduate program for administrative law.
