To date in March the U.S. Department of Education (ED) issued three guidance letters related to aspects of the federal student financial aid program integrity regulations that were published on 29 October 2010. The program integrity regulations generally are effective 1 July 2011. For background on the regulations, please refer to our November 2010 Education Investors Alert. This alert describes generally the three guidance letters, which ED refers to as Dear Colleague Letters (DCL).
