He advises on employment and data privacy law, compliance and internal investigations. He also heads the local Compliance & Investigations Group. Tim has in-depth knowledge in the fields of data privacy and labor litigation, including the respective negotiations and lawsuits with works councils. Tim often represents clients in litigation cases. He advises in matters with strong international aspects, in particular with regard to cross-border data transfers, discoveries and cross-border regulatory or criminal investigations.

He further advises on the implementation, review and operation of compliance structures as well as on general employment and data privacy law matters. From March 2008 to September 2010, Tim led a team of over 60 lawyers which assisted UBS AG with internal investigations initiated by the U.S. authorities SEC and DoJ. Tim is co-publisher of the German Journal for Data Privacy Law (Zeitschrift fuer Datenschutz - ZD). He has authored numerous publications on data privacy and employment law as well as on the legal aspects of compliance and internal investigations.

He published the second edition of his successful handbook Data Privacy in Companies (Datenschutz in Unternehmen) in 2014.Both the German Superior Labor Court and the Superior Civil Court have cited several of his publications. Tim has an additional qualification as a specialist employment lawyer.
