Stéphane Huten is a partner in our Paris office and a member of our Corporate & Finance practice and of the global Private Equity Leadership Team. He focuses primarily on mergers and acquisitions both on private and public companies with particular expertise in private equity transactions. He also advises on stock exchange law and corporate governance issues.

Stéphane Huten was recognised as one of the "forty under forties rising stars" by Financial News. And as one of the 50 most promising French lawyers (Magazine Droit des Affaires).

Stéphane has been ranked 3rd busiest M&A lawyer in Europe during the first half of 2020 according to data from Mergermarket in 2020.

In 2019 he was ranked as one of the “Top M&A Lawyers in France and EMEA” by MergerLinks (2019) as “up and coming” by Chambers 2019-2020. He was ranked first of the "Top France 2018 individual legal advisers" in volume by Merger Market (2018).

Stéphane advised on nearly 40 transactions in 2019 and nearly 20 on the first half of 2020, he advised number of private equity funds as well as listed companies, founders or management on number of operations.

 Advising Groupe ADP regarding a share purchase agreement to acquire a 49% stake in GMR Airports, a major Indian airport group. (1.36 billion euros)
Advice and assistance of Transports G Gautier SAS in the acquisition of 4 businesses as a going concern owned by Küehne + Nagel SAS
Advising SANEF and SAPN on the sale of their minority stake in the capital of Autoroute de Liaison Seine Sarthe (ALIS - A 28) to PGGM and Vauban Infrastructure.
Advising Edmond de Rothschild Investment Partners (Andera), Chequers, IDI, Naxicap, Activa Capital, Cathay Capital, Chevrillon, Apax and several private equity funds on a regular basis
Advising ORCA Group on its quadruple acquisition to create the Angeloni Group
Advising Aéroports de Paris in connection with the acquisition of 39% of TAV Airports (USD 2.4 billion)
Advising IDI on its acquisition of a majority stake in the NewLife group
Advising Apax Partners Development in relation to the acquisition of Rayonnance
Advising Andera Partners in relation to the acquisition of 99 Group.
Advising the April Group and CVC Capital Partners on the sale of its subsidiary Axeria IARD, the group's risky subsidiary, specializing in non-life insurance, to the Watford group
