Our Silicon Valley office combines local service with the global knowledge that comes with being part of a legal practice with more than 40 offices around the world. This combination allows us to offer our clients corporate, intellectual property, and litigation services from lawyers in the Bay Area, while permitting us also to serve clients’ global needs in a seamless and efficient way.
Our lawyers have decades of experience in all types of dispute resolution, including federal and state court civil and criminal jury and bench trials and arbitration. We have conducted many internal investigations both in the United States and overseas, including under the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA). The practice covers many industries, including all forms of technology (including life sciences), healthcare, energy, real estate, banking and other financial services, professional liability, and bankruptcy.
Our corporate team has a long, local history, focusing on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances; public and private offerings of equity and debt securities; securities law compliance; corporate governance; and venture capital and private equity investments. We advise emerging private companies, as well as mature public companies, and offer vast experience in life sciences licensing and corporate partnering deals.
Our intellectual property practice focuses on patent litigation and has significant federal trial and appeals experience, including significant experience before the International Trade Commission, with particular depth related to electrical, mechanical, chemical, and biotechnology patents.
