Philip is head of our UK tax practice team and advises a broad range of clients on their most difficult tax issues. He has particular experience with finance transactions including securitisation. He advises international corporates on transactions ranging from acquisitions and mergers to group reorganisations.

Philip is active in the tax community. He is the Chair of the City of London Law Society’s Revenue Committee in which role he has led responses to a number of tax consultations as well as being on TheCityUK and Law Society tax committees.

Advising News Corporation on the acquisition of Shine Limited.

Advising the lenders on the restructuring of three UK residential mortgage warehouse facilities.

Advising FCE Bank PLC on the securitisation of UK consumer auto loan receivables and in relation to similar securitisations in other European jurisdictions.

Advising a series of Special Investment Vehicles on their restructuring in receivership.

Advising SABMiller plc on a series of bond issues.
