Peter R. Bisio
Peter Bisio has been helping companies resolve disputes of all shapes and sizes for more than 20 years. His clients rely on his judgment and broad range of experience to help them resolve their most difficult, complex, and sensitive matters. In some cases, that may mean negotiating and documenting a resolution that achieves their goals without prolonged litigation. In others, clients turn to Peter to represent them in court, at trial, in an arbitration, or on appeal.
Peter has represented a wide variety of clients throughout his career, with a focus on health benefits companies and property and casualty insurers. He has handled everything from individual policyholder claims to nationwide class actions. He has appeared in state and federal courts throughout the country in cases involving insurance coverage, ERISA, RICO, antitrust, bankruptcy, and other complex commercial issues. As a result of those efforts, Peter has been recognized by Super Lawyers as a Top Rated Business Litigation Lawyer for the past five years.
In addition to representing his clients, Peter also serves as co-chair of the firm's legal ethics committee. In that role, he regularly advises the firm and its lawyers on ethics and insurance issues involving the firm or the firm's clients.

Advises a property and casualty insurer on issues relating to litigation arising from the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme.
Helped an investment firm develop the first insurance product to cover Kyoto-related risk related to CDM project investors.
Obtained the dismissal of ERISA and state law claims in one of the first cases relating to the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act.
