As a partner in our corporate and finance practice, Nelson Tang focuses his practice on equity capital markets, public takeovers and regulatory compliance matters. 

Being recognized as a dedicated and trusted adviser, Nelson takes a hands-on and proactive approach in bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and problem solving skills to his clients including leading investment banks and public companies. 

He has a broad commercial and corporate finance practice and advises regularly on IPOs, rights issues, share placements, convertible bonds, public takeovers, and regulatory compliance matters. 

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Nelson worked for an international investment bank as an in-house legal counsel covering equity capital markets and M&A transactions in Asia.

Morgan Stanley on the US$222m placing of shares and US$111m top-up placing of shares of China Medical System Holdings, a Chinese pharmaceutical services company.
Advising UBS, DBS Asia Capital and CIMB Securities on the US$261m Hong Kong IPO and Rule 144A placing of Nirvana Asia, the largest integrated death care service provider in Asia.
UBS, Haitong International Securities and ABCI Capital on the US$199m Hong Kong IPO and Rule 144A placing of Times Property Holdings Limited, one of the leading property developers in China.
Advising UBS, Macquarie and JP Morgan on the US$884m Hong Kong IPO and Rule 144A placing of H shares of BBMG, a Chinese building materials manufacturer and property investment and management company, and its pre-IPO restructuring.

Advising UBS on the US$1.1bn Hong Kong IPO and Rule 144A placing of Sun Art Retail Group, the largest hypermarket operator in China. The offering was awarded "Best Equity Deal of the Year" by FinanceAsia.*

Advising UBS, China Merchants Securities, CMB International Capital as joint placing agents on the US$155.4m placing of new H-shares in Zhaojin Mining Industry, a gold exploration, mining and refinery company listed in Hong Kong.
