With a team of lawyers working on investigations and litigation involving pharmaceutical, medical device, and biotechnology manufacturers; compliance matters; and, most recently, legislative policy matters, our Life Sciences Enforcement practice is recognized as one of the strongest and most experienced in the world. Our clients benefit from the varied experience of our skilled lawyers, many of whom are former prosecutors who handled very significant matters for the government before joining the firm. Between this government experience and the wide array of matters our lawyers have handled in private practice, our Life Sciences Enforcement lawyers are experienced in virtually every phase of the practice, including internal and government investigations, settlement and trial, and negotiations with administrative agencies to minimize business consequences from exclusion and debarment.

Close collaboration between our litigators and lawyers in our internationally recognized regulatory groups is a cornerstone of our Life Sciences Enforcement practice. Hogan Lovells' lawyers have in-depth knowledge of the regulatory frameworks applicable to a wide array of civil and criminal actions. Many of our regulatory lawyers formerly held high-level positions at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and other federal agencies, and often participated directly in the relevant regulatory and legislative processes. Through highly focused teams of leading defense lawyers and regulatory experts, we are positioned to credibly articulate and advocate our interpretation of the applicable regulations as they relate to these matters.
