Inmaculada Lorenzo focuses on enforcement and litigation of IP rights, particularly in the field of patents, trademarks and unfair competition. Passionate about creation and innovation as driving forces of development, she helps her clients protect and defend their intangible assets.
Inmaculada represents and advises national and international companies, particularly in the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices) and Technology, Media and Telecommunications industries, in patent and trademark infringement and validity litigation and complex IP disputes, including also unfair competition, copyright and trade secret claims.
Inmaculada acts regularly before the Spanish Commercial Courts, hearing all IP related disputes, as well as the European Union Trademark & Designs Court. She is commonly involved in multi-jurisdictional litigation and works hand-in-hand with Spanish and foreign experts, including European Patent Attorneys and reputed University Professors. She has extensive experience dealing with preliminary injunctions, pre-trial inspections, inquiries proceedings and protective actions, and also advises clients on pre-contentious matters and dispute settlement.
Inmaculada studied Law, Business Administration and Management and Music. She lectures on IP and International Litigation in two Master Degree Programs at University Carlos III of Madrid and ISDE Law School and periodically publishes on hot topics in IP law.
She has recently been nominated in the Top 10 “Best Young Lawyer” in the Expansión Legal Awards (2019 and 2020) and has been ranked as “Rising Star” by IP Stars – Managing Intellectual Property 2018 and 2019 and as “Next Generation Lawyer” by Legal 500 2017 for Intellectual Property (Patents).
