Senior International Affairs Advisor
H.P. Goldfield focuses on international trade and transactional problem-solving, developing and implementing complex political, legislative, and regulatory strategies on behalf of major clients in the U.S. and abroad. He formerly served as U.S. Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Trade Development.
From 1975 to 1977, he served as assistant and law clerk to Philip W. Buchen, counsel to President Ford. In 1976, President Ford appointed H.P. to a four-year term as a member of the National Advisory Committee for Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention. H.P. was also a White House staffer during the Reagan administration, serving as assistant counsel (1981-82) and subsequently as associate counsel to the president (1982-83). President Reagan also appointed H.P. to the board of directors of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation. H.P. also served on board of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (ex officio).
H.P. currently serves on the board of directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Black & Veatch, and the Middle East Institute; he is also Vice Chairman of the Albright Stonebridge Group.

Developed a strategy to obtain USG support, including military escort, for a foreign-flagged, U.S.-owned maritime operator.
Assisted in organizing the public policy, strategic communications, and media strategy for a foreign head of state's visit to the U.S.
Helped develop and implement a political strategy to assist a global, foreign-based aerospace company compete for a major U.S. defense contract.
