Providing a full range of legal services, Hogan Lovells Hamburg office has traditional strengths in intellectual property (trade mark, competition and copyright law, protection of packaging get-up and design, technical IP rights, especially patent law) and in media law (press, radio and television, Internet, entertainment), our advisory offering is focused on the fields of corporate/M&A, (national as well as international) litigation / arbitration as well as property, antitrust, public procurement, energy and of course employment law. When providing advice to our clients in trade mark matters, we work together closely with our office in Alicante at the seat of the European Trade Marks Office. With a view to providing our clients with the best possible advice, we are committed not only to strong national and international integration of our practice groups but above all to comprehensive industry know-how, particularly in the fields of energy, consumer/luxury goods, healthcare/life sciences, telecommunications/IT, retail, media and technology.
Our client base includes a significant number of well-known DAX, M-Dax, Tec-Dax, FTSE 100, and Fortune 500 companies, in addition to small- and medium-sized enterprises from the Hamburg region. We enjoy close commercial contacts with Scandinavia, and we maintain excellent relationships with a number of international clients, some stretching back for more than a century. It is this approach that makes the Hamburg office so successful: during the crisis year of 2009 we grew and had to rent additional premises, bucking the market trend. In addition, many of our lawyers enjoy an outstanding reputation particularly in their respective specialties. With a total staff of some 200, including 70 experienced lawyers, we have the critical mass to handle large projects simultaneously. Independent market surveys regularly highlight our reputation for dedication and efficiency, combined with a pragmatic advisory approach.
Hogan Lovells Hamburg office is located in the heart of the Hanseatic city in our office building situated directly on the Binnenalster (inner Alster) lake.
