On September 9, 2015, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, in coordination with the Department of State, announced and issued a notice regarding changes to the Visa Bulletin that would permit eligible individuals to file family-based or employment-based Applications to Register Permanent Residency or Adjust Status (Form I-485) earlier than was permitted under the previous process.
