Hogan Lovells advised the leading Korean Internet company Naver on the acquisition of Xerox Research Centre Europe

Hogan Lovells advised Naver, Korea's leading Internet company, in relation to its acquisition of the Xerox Research Centre Europe located in Grenoble. The agreement is expected to close in the third quarter of 2017.

Founded in 1993, the Xerox Research Centre Europe has focused its research in artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing and ethnography. In addition to a strong foothold in Europe, Naver expects to generate significant synergies from this acquisition.

The Hogan Lovells team advising Naver was led by Xavier Doumen (Partner) with Marion Salus and Alexandre Jeannerot (Associates) on the corporate aspects, Alexandra Tuil (Senior Associate) and Marion Bélery (Associate) on the employment law aspects, Corinne Knopp (Partner), Ghrislaine Oucharif and Mélody Pages (Associates) on the real estate aspects, Bruno Knadjian (Partner) and Pierre Denizot-Heller (Associate) on the tax aspects as well as in the United States Cullen G.
