"He is very thorough, really knows his stuff and is really nice to work with"

Chambers UK 2020

As a counsel in our Dispute Resolution practice, Nathan has focused his practice on Chancery litigation, with a particular concentration on pension scheme and trust fund disputes. He has extensive experience in regulatory proceedings, rectification claims, Beddoe proceedings, directions applications and high-value professional liability actions.

Nathan has acted in the industry's most prominent and ground-breaking cases in recent years, including a number before the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court which have led to important developments in the law. As well as his considerable experience of conducting major commercial litigation before the English Courts, much of Nathan's work has an international dimension and he has been involved in the prosecution and defence of multi-billion dollar claims against insolvent estates in the US, Canada and mainland Europe.

Nathan has been listed as a "Rising Star" and a "Next Generation Lawyer" in the UK Legal 500, and as an "Associate to Watch" in Chambers UK. He is a solicitor-advocate, qualified to advocate in the higher Courts, as well as a non-practising barrister. He is also a member of the Association of Pension Lawyers, and for a number of years spoken at conferences organised by the APL on litigation in the context of pension schemes.
