Jaime Rodríguez-Toquero focuses on all aspects of EU law and competition, with particular experience in merger control and cartel investigations. His recent experience includes EU and multi-jurisdictional merger analyses and filings both before the European Commission and other antitrust authorities around the globe. He also has considerable cartel experience, having been involved in a number of European and international cartel cases. Prior to joining our Brussels office, Jaime worked at the European Commission's Directorate-General for Competition on cartel investigations in different industry sectors. He previously worked as a trainee lawyer at the Legal Service of the Spanish Competition Authority.

Representative experience

Part of the team in advising ALSTOM in the context of GE's €12.4bn acquisition of ALSTOM's power business with merger clearances obtained in over 30 jurisdictions.

Representation of PPG Industries, Inc. in the sale of its fiber glass operations to glass manufacturer Nippon Electric Glass Co. Ltd.

Acting for one of the carriers in the European Commission’s investigation of the maritime car shipping sector and in coordinating our client's worldwide defence strategy.
