Heiko Tschauner helps clients in complex financial restructurings and insolvency situations. As head of our German Restructuring & Special Situations Practice he knows how to find solutions in challenging distressed situations. He advised on one of the first German debtor in possession proceedings under the redefined German insolvency law "ESUG" and successfully implemented several insolvency plans.
In addition, Heiko assists investors with distressed investments and provides practical advice to protect clients against insolvency risks, for example via double sided trust structures. He further has successfully handled lots of claw back and management liability cases in an insolvency context.
From dealing with several distressed supplier cases Heiko has developed a deep understanding of the finance industry. Over the last 20 years he also dealt with several cases in the automotive, telecommunications, renewable energy, pharmaceutical, aircraft, retail, real estate and media industries.
