As counsel in the Banking and Finance practice, Guergana Zabounova has extensive experience in a broad range of asset finance work within the aircraft and rail industries. She has been involved in a variety of renewable energy transactions since she joined the firm in 2006, and is a qualified Bulgarian lawyer. Guergana has also acted for a number of French and international banks in relation to acquisition and syndicated financings both at domestic and cross-border level.

Representative experience

Advising a large syndicate of banks regarding a €850m multi-currency revolving credit agreement to benefit a French global manufacturer of contact lenses.
Assisting the mandated lead arrangers and bookrunners in relation to a €700m revolving credit facility for Banque PSA, the financial division of group Peugeot-Citroën.
Advising agent and mandated lead arrangers in a €1.040bn financing regarding the acquisition by French sugar group Cristal Union of sugar beet producer Vermandoise Group.
Advising the agent in relation to the financing of the acquisition of Synovate by IPSOS for a total amount of €450m.
Advising a syndicate of lenders in relation to the financing of the first two acquisitions of Airbus A380-800 by Air France
Advising French and non-French lenders and airline companies on tax-driven schemes, finance leases, conditional sales, and loan facilities regarding Airbus, Boeing, and other aircraft.
Advising arrangers and lenders in relation to restructuring the financing of four wind farm projects as a result of a change in the borrowers' shareholders.
Advising arrangers and lenders about financing three wind farms of 16.1 MW, 13.8 MW, and 11.5 MW, and a private power transformer in France.
Advising a French bank in French Guyana on setting up a solar plant using a French tax-driven scheme and the 'Girardin' incentive mechanism.
Advising lenders on financing of nine solar plants, with total power capacity of 2.255 MW, located in the regions of Languedoc-Roussillon and PACA, France.

Advising finance parties on setting up a master facilities agreement to benefit three SPC regarding financing of solar plants on private, public, and agricultural sites.
Advising lenders in connection with a US$3.8bn Bridge Loan Facility Agreement in favor of Capgemini regarding the financing of Capgemini's acquisition of Igate.
Advising syndicates of French and international banks regarding a €4.099bn term loan credit facility and €1.216bn revolving forward start credit facility for Banque PSA Finance.
