Pride+ 1st Anniversary Event James Longman, ABC News Foreign Correspondent

We will celebrating the first anniversary of our Global Pride+ Network with ABC News Foreign Correspondent James Longman.

James is an openly gay journalist who has spent extensive time in the Middle East. A fluent Arabic and French speaker, at 24 years old James travelled to Syria to report on the early days of the conflict there. He was embedded with activist networks in Homs and the Damascus suburbs where he wrote for several UK newspapers. James was hired by the BBC in 2012 for his specialism in Syria and the Middle East, and in 2017, he joined ABC News and reports for programs across the ABC network including Good Morning America and Nightline.

James will talk about his life and career and the importance of diversity and inclusion.
