Christoph Küppers focuses on all tax and accounting aspects of acquisition and group restructurings, including in a cross-border context, and on all tax and accounting aspects associated with insurance and reinsurance products. He also advises on the full range of regulatory matters affecting the insurance industry. Christoph advises clients from the financial industry sector (insurance and reinsurance companies, pension funds, banks, private equity houses), concentrating on insurance and reinsurance companies conducting business in Europe. Christoph is qualified as an MBA (Dipl. Kfm.), Lawyer (Rechtsanwalt), Certified Tax Advisor (Steuerberater), and Chartered Accountant (Wirtschaftsprüfer).
Christoph joined the firm in 2001; from January 2009 to June 2014, he was Regional Managing Partner Continental Europe and accordingly a member of the Firm's International Management Committee. Since July 2014 he has been the Global Head of the Firm's Insurance Sector Group. Prior to joining the firm, Christoph worked for two international tax accounting firms for nine years; from 1994 to 2001 he was with KPMG (the last three years of which as partner).
