Alexander Roussanov concentrates on pharmaceutical and medical devices matters, with a particular focus on the EU regulatory framework.
Alexander advises in the areas of EU and national regulatory regimes regarding medicinal products and medical devices, including promotion and marketing of products, compliance of communication and interactions with stakeholders, regulatory obligations related to authorization, and placing on the market.
He has also worked in the field of national pricing and reimbursement systems. Issues include the transposition of the EU Price Transparency Directive, compliance of national pricing and reimbursement policies, and implications on the free movement of goods and services in this area.
Alexander also has experience in developing and analyzing EU institutions’ policies and decision making processes, including input into the process of adoption of EU legislation touching upon the pharmaceuticals sector, policy discussions, and stakeholders relations.
Other areas that Alexander had exposure to include the enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in EU Member States, sales agreements, and antitrust issues specific to the pharmaceutical sector.
Prior to joining Hogan & Hartson, Alexander worked at the European Public Affairs office of a leading international pharmaceutical company.
